Nba Draft 2024 Date

WEB 2024 NBA Draft Primer

The Road to Barclays Center

With the lottery behind us, the 2024 NBA Draft order is officially set. The first round will be held at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY, on June 26-27, 2024. This year's draft is expected to be one of the deepest in recent memory, with several potential franchise-changing prospects available.

The Top of the Draft

The top of the draft is expected to be dominated by two players: Victor Wembanyama and Scoot Henderson. Wembanyama, a 7'3" center from France, is considered the best prospect since LeBron James. He possesses a unique combination of size, athleticism, and skill. Henderson, a 6'3" point guard from the United States, is a dynamic playmaker with exceptional speed and court vision.

It remains to be seen who will go first overall, but Wembanyama and Henderson are the clear favorites. Behind them, there are several other talented prospects who could go in the top five, including Amen Thompson, Nick Smith, and Dariq Whitehead.

The Rest of the First Round

The rest of the first round is expected to be highly competitive, with several teams looking to add impact players. The Detroit Pistons, who have the second overall pick, are in desperate need of a franchise cornerstone. The Orlando Magic, who have the third overall pick, are also looking to add a young star. The Houston Rockets, who have the fourth overall pick, are rebuilding around a young core led by Jalen Green and Jabari Smith.

There are several other teams who could make a splash in the first round, including the Indiana Pacers, the Sacramento Kings, and the Golden State Warriors. The draft is always unpredictable, so it will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
